This week news that the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians wants to build a casino in Lansing made headlines around the state. Many question whether the tribe in UP has the right to do so under agreements that govern Indian casinos. But Aaron Payment says the tribe hasn't discussed the issue enough. Payment is a former tribal chair. He says the tribe's experience with downstate casinos has not been great and a vote of the members is needed.
