Tom Allard, of Traverse City, is a former U.S. Coast Guard Commander who now travels the world as a commercial pilot, always ready to entertain with his ukulele. IPR's Linda Stephan met him at Chicago O'Hare, where he was keeping spirits high during a flight delay. She even got a lesson on the uke!

Allard has done his 10 second ukulele lessons with people all over the world. Check out his YouTube channel here.
