Jack comes to public radio after a successful career in the recording industry. He has worked in studios in Baltimore, Detroit and Nashville. At Interlochen, Jack oversees the technical operation including its recording studios and maintaining its transmitter facilities.
He welcomes the challenge of keeping two quality radio services with four FM broadcast channels operating continuously. In addition to his engineering duties, you can hear Jack on IPR Music Radio as host of the “Manitou Music Festival” series or occasionally on “IPR in Concert.”
When not dodging lightning bolts at the transmitter sites or twisting wires together at the studio, he enjoys time with his wife, Mary, and children, Michael and Catherine. A bass guitar player for most of his life, on occasion he even gets paid to play it.
