Detroit radio veteran Dick Wallace has hosted classical music on the radio since 1971. He was the midday voice for years at what was then Detroit's classical station WQRS. Before coming to IPR, he was Music Director and Senior Program Host at WGTE in Toledo.
Dick's listener-friendly style has made for a loyal audience, who continue to enjoy the variety of classics that he plays Monday through Friday, 8-11 a.m. Dick also has a lot of fun hosting "Pops Potpourri" each Saturday from 9-10 p.m.
As Morning Host on IPR Music Radio, Dick strives to present a wonderful mixture of musical periods, selections and performers.
As Dick would say, "Playing classical music each day on the radio is one of the greatest jobs in the world. And if you can hear my smile each day in presenting it, I've done my job for you the listener!"
