Coming up on the National Writer's Series will be Peter Matthiessen's talk last month at the Traverse City Opera House. Matthiessen has written numerous works of fiction and non-fiction including The Snow Leapord, At Play in the Fields of the Lord and In the Spirit of Crazy Horse. He won the national book award twice. He's also one of the founders of The Paris Review.
