A wildfire in the Seney National Wildlife Refuge has grown to 2,600 acres. The Upper Peninsula fire was started by lightning on Sunday.

The fire is being suppressed by The Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Dry conditions today have challenged firefighters.

Crews closed down M-28 this morning. They did that in order to change the path of the fire in hopes that they can stop its spread.
