Michigan Congressman Bart Stupak tells the Bay City Times his office has received at least 50 threats for his support of health care reform. A couple of the telephone messages are actual death threats. Others curse him and refer to him as a "baby killer".

Stupak is a pro-life Democrat whose amendment to the House bill calls for existing restrictions on federal funding of abortions to remain in place. But the Senate still has to concur with that.

President Obama has promised to uphold the status quo on abortion.

At least 10 other Congress members reported personal threats as a result of support for the health care bill, including two other Congressmen from Michigan.
