Fire Danger Comes Early

Officials with the U.S. Forest Service say they are looking out for possible grass fires today in the national forests. Fire danger has come early to Northern Michigan this spring. Warm temperatures and sunshine has left last year's dead grasses dry and flammable.

Those who wish to burn yard waste need to get a permit, and officials ask people not to burn on windy days.
