Gwen Frostic's has new owners, but it's still not certain if the popular print making shop will stay in the same place. The artist's former studio, near Frankfort, has been a destination for visitors for decades.

Greg and Kim Forshee, of Benzonia, confirmed Monday they've purchased the business along with all of its copyrights and trademarks. The Forshees say they'll keep Gwen Frostics in Benzie county, hopefully in its historical location. They bought the business from its former owners, Kirk and Pam Lorenz, who bought it back from the bank Friday.

But Honor State Bank still owns the building and property where Gwen Frostic's has operated for almost half a century.

The store sits on 100 acres including a marsh and woods where Frostic would draw the animals and plants that became the subjects of her popular prints.

Bank officials did not respond to several messages seeking comment, but they had previously indicated the bank was in discussions with three potential buyers.
