Traverse City's West Middle School will be closed Thursday and Friday because of flu.
The Traverse City Area Public School joins a growing list of schools closed at the end of this week, as H1N1 influenza - also known as swine flu -- takes hold of Northern Michigan.
The closing includes the TCAPS Freshman Academy.
All extra-curricular activities and parent-teacher conferences for West Middle and the Freshman Academy are cancelled this week.
School will dismiss as normal today.
