Cheboygan Memorial Hospital is looking to sell to a hospital system in Flint, and quickly.

The hospital is in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and leaders say failure to sell to McLaren Health Care could lead to an "orderly wind down of the organization."

Hospital CEO Shari Schult said in a press release that she believes the hospital has the support it needs for the sale from most of its creditors.

Cheboygan Memorial is the largest employer and only hospital in the county with nearly 400 employees.

In Petoskey, Northern Michigan Regional Hospital is undergoing a name change. It now becomes McLaren - Northern Michigan.

NMRH became a subsidiary of McLaren Health Care earlier this year.
