More than half of Michigan's cross-country ski trails will be groomed again this winter, despite state budget cuts. The grooming is largely bring done by volunteers and/or through private donations.

Groomed trails include Muncie Lake and the VASA in Grand Traverse County, as well as trails in Wexford, Otsego and Cheboygan counties.

Officials say many of the un-groomed trails will still be open to skiers, with plowed parking lots.
