Eighteen year old Robert Jensen Schwander has been found guilty of killing Carly Lewis in Traverse City. Lewis disappeared this past June. Schwander led police to her body two weeks later, it had been buried in a sand pile at a city garage.

On the witness stand, Schwander insisted he did not intend to kill Lewis.  He said it was an accident following an argument between the two.

Jurors found Schwander guilty of second degree murder last night. Judge Thomas Power will sentence him next month. Schwander could receive life in prison.
