From Staff Reports

A former newspaper man from Petoskey will be named to the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame later this spring. Ken Winter is the former editor and publisher of the Petoskey News-Review. He now teaches at North Central Michigan College, also in Petoskey.

The Hall of Fame is housed at Michigan State University, where leaders there say Winter is being honored for "aggressive, yet compassionate, community news coverage."

Other inductees include long-time Detroit Broadcaster Bob Giles and celebrity Photojournalist Linda Solomon.
