The Supreme Court heard arguments today on a case out of Grand Traverse County.

County Prosecutor Al Schneider is asking the court to allow him to investigate possible campaign finance violations of Meijer officials for their roles in a recall campaign against Acme Township officials who opposed the superstore chain's plans for a new retail plaza.

Years later, Meijer and Acme Township are moving forward with approvals to build a store in the township.

The ruling is expected within a few months.
